The Southampton show on August 10th has now been cancelled, but we're going to be going back to Leeds for 2 more show before the break. The other night was crazy, can't wait to go back. Thanks to Oliver & Carl.

In other news we're on the new Hardcore Still Lives Volume 1 compilation - http://hardcorestilllives.bandcamp.com/, as well as being featured on the upcoming Slow It Down Records compilation in which proceeds are going to charity.

Tour Write Up

Just got in from tour, what a few days, this a diary / write up of what went on. We'll also soon be uploading some photo's we took.

20th July - Southampton
One of our last local shows for a while, it started a bit late due to a few issues which meant for some running around but was a cool a show. The turn out was poor for a Southampton show, especially considering the weather, however those who did come made a great day of it. Savage Youth had a good first show considering the circumstances around changing around how they set up not long before the show, Blind Authority & Story were both crazy good, sick bands with a message. There was also the older guy who came along from Reading, such a dude, so many raging punk fists flying through the air from him, sir you go hard. Enough played a sick set, they said about 3 times we only have a few left but kept going & going as the show was so sick, they played near enough the whole demo which made me happy. Between bands everyone hung out, it was hard.
Once the show was done we headed to mine to sleep (with Adam, Tyler & Nick who were joining us) once i'd sorted out Enough's place to sleep. We had to carry some of our drum shit, guitars, guitar cab & head over which took a while, I don't recommend ever doing that in the hot weather we've been having. We planned to have an early night as we had to be up early, but we ended up going to bed between like 1 & 3am. Myself & Adam didn't sleep until like half 2 when some Totalselfhatred eased us off.

21st July - Plymouth
Our driver Jack came & picked us up at 9am, we chose to leave so early as we wanted to go to the beach (the weather was amazing all day, sun sun sun). On the way we had a nice toilet break on the side of the road which had a nice view some hills in the sun, for me this was the moment realizing we'd actually come so far as to be doing a tour. We arrived at Dawlish beach at about midday, meaning we had 4 hours or so to have some fun. We ended up eating some unreal Donuts, playing one bounce one touch on the beach, chilling in the sea, having a football match (5 - 4 to the shirts) & climbing this cool hilly cave thing looking out over the sea. Some strong playlists were played in the van on the way too, shout out to them virtual moshpits. When we were done at the beach we headed to the venue, arrived with some time to hang out & get some snacks. Once we'd loaded in and gone through a new song idea & met up with Enough again, we had a big long game of one bounce one touch, Ben ended up being against the wall after each game more than anyone. We had some great laughs from the morning to the show, couldn't be happier.
It took a while to work our way round the city to the venue, there were tons of roadworks which took some extra time to navigate around. An Unfinished Life played a good set, some sick riffs in there. Considering this show was arranged due to the cancellation in Penzance the turnout was really good, the venue was pretty cool too considering this was one of the first few shows. I wanted to get myself a chili in the bar but no chefs were in yet, let down. Our set had some sound issues as Jamie's head didn't quite agree with the cab, despite that it went well considering. Sold a couple shirts. Now the night before Enough were sick, they didn't have time to play for as long tonight but they were 5x better, literally one of the best hardcore sets I've seen, the crowd was sweet too. Also, they played a surprise Slayer cover of Reign In Blood in full afterwards, once the tom's got smashed it went crazy, one of the best show moments at any hardcore show for me, they played it so so well.
After the show we packed up & drove to Newburry to stay at Jack's house, everyone slept on the way but I couldn't get comfy so stayed up listening to Lamb Of God & Balance And Composure. I think we got in at about 2.30am then didn't sleep for another while, he has a cool house with some cool punk shit, the Send More Paramedics sticker being my pick of the bunch.

22nd July - Leeds
After getting up early myself Nick & Ben walked into town for some food, Newburry was a really nice relaxed village. For breakfast I ended up having 2 kinder egg's, a bottle of apple / raspberry juice & 4 twisters, it was sick. I also bought a foam disk gun at pound-land, it was sick.We made our back & slowly got ready to go, it was so hot when we got in the van, it must of stayed at least 17 degrees over night or something because the van was scorching!
We arrived at the venue an hour or so before load in, we got some snacks quick when Sam arrived then proceeded to get gear for the show sorted. Considering this was Sam's first show it was fucking sick. Our pals in Square One played a really good set, Sob Story were 3x better than Saturday, Scorned the pit went pretty mental. I wasn't sure what to expect during No Island but they were so sick, I don't know why people haven't caught on to them more. When it came to our set one of the amps wasn't working, so we played with 1 guitar splitting the st first half & second half, so in the first i hit the pit, moshing to your own band is sick. We were all so surprised with the kind of reaction we got, the crowd went crazy. We also ended up selling a good bunch of merch & received some kind words which was great. During the show I also grabbed an 11" 4 cheese pizza for only £3, I dread to think what's in it, but if you're in search of cheap food in Leeds go to that pizza shop to the left of The Packhorse. The show ran really smoothly, we got to hang out with some friends, we got to meet some new people, a top quality day.
After the show we headed to where we were staying for the night which was a massive 12/13 bedroom house. An Unfinished life stayed over for a while too as well as some of the locals, AUL were cool guys & a cool band to hang out with over the 3 days. Hanging out with the guys at this was fun, playing Super Smash Bros on GameCube was a great time, moshing each other in the garden to beatdown's was a great time. Shout out to Stan, what a guy! We ended up going to sleep really late again due to a lot of pissing around & enjoying ourselves. Disgrace & Anguish (USA) were the relaxing bedtime anthems.

23rd July - Rotherham
We got up early but stayed in for a while as there was no rush to the show. We waved goodbye to Tyler as he was going to stay around Leeds with some mates. For me the funnest parts of the tour were in the van / sleeping or waking up, hangout out together has been really fun & hysterical. The weather for the day was a bit weird, it started rainy, then cleared up then rained again later in the day, a nice break from the heat though. Take To The Skies was the van playlist.
We arrived really early at the show so we got some food & hung around in town, before heading back & taking our stuff in. A lot of sofa mosh occurred, someone had a good playlist going on the ipod.
The show was cool, we weren't sure what to expect as there were a bunch of bands who aren't the sort we'd usually be on a show with. Dead Inside's Shattered Realm cover was cool, the Classical Young Brutes were sick, An Unfinished Life played there best show while we've been watching them. After us Snake Eyes from Scotland played, for their age I think they are a really good band, they're going to grow to be really really good (get ready to mosh). We nearly had to do our set with 1 guitar again but we managed to figure things out, the crowd reaction was great again & we were surprised with how crazy it got! We stayed a short time after to see Snake Eyes, sold some more merch & met a few of the locals before we had to go back to Southampton. Also, massive thanks to George for Jamie's birthday cake!
The drive back was decent, not as long as we imagined, even though it was sad to be going home it was fun reflecting on this experience & going over what we're gonna be doing next. I ended up sleeping on my own floor, too tired to walk to the bed room.

Thanks to: Jack for driving us, letting us sleep over & being a cool guy (recommended to hire), Tyler, Nick & Adam for being apart of the tour, Sam Coe, Dan Hamlyn / Shadowplay Records, The UYC & John Shaw / Josh Osinski for the shows, Stan for letting us stay over ("I haven't found your driver, but i have found connor"), service stations for always being there for every band, and hardcore for being hardcore.

We have a handful of hoodies left too in XL. Time for writing and planning more trips around places, thanks.

So we finally have the new demo songs mixed, thanks to Ben Lodge (though you are a lazy shit). Go have a listen now and let us know what you think. The ideas are flowing for the next release already, looking forward to this!

And we posted last night but our Sunday show in Penzance for tour got cancelled, but we've thankfully managed to figure a show out for Plymouth. It will also still be with Enough, can't wait to play some shows with them. We can't thank Daniel Hamlyn enough for saving this! I'm gonna write a tour diary kind of thing on each day too, either at the end of each day or just in one write up when we're back. We'll also have a good amount of merch at these shows: the last of the Charlie Brown & Sailor shirts, the new Logo hoodies, and i still have a bunch of Rage! Hardcore shirts that i'll be selling for £2 (if you're unaware i put out Feral Youth / No Excuse / Demonwomb / Foreseen & Rough Justice on the label, wrote & distributed some zines).

PS - check out Jamie & Ben's new band Savage Youth when you get the time, we're coming to Europe next summer with Pantah of Holland, and the guy who stage dived during our set at UYC Fest thanks for being the first to dive to us! And we've had 2 write up's on us today, check it out!

July 14, 2013

So this time next week we start doing our first tour. Southampton, Penzance, Leeds & Rotherham. This is all our first hardcore band & we range from the ages of 15 - 20. We're all really happy with what we've achieved so far for what this band is. This is the last run of shows before we slow down on playing live to write the next full release to follow on from the new demo (see the bandcamp). Come out if you're around these places & wanna come see us. Come buy these last pieces of merch, come have a chat too us, etcetc. None of us imagined we'd ever be at the stage of travelling around playing just some shows around the UK, so cheers to anyone who has shown interest or helped out the band in any way. We're currently putting some plans together to come over to Europe for a week next summer with a band from the mainland, more news on that later in the year if all goes to plan. We're also in talks with some of our friends bands about a possible UK weekender next year. Fingers crossed we can also sort out the trip to Ireland too. See you next week.

Also, apparently the final mixed versions of the demo songs will be with us the next few days, check that out when it's ready. It'll be the last you here from us until we're finished with the new stuff.

July 09, 2013

Hoodies have arrived. Orders will be posted over the coming week. Others we'll sort with the people & the few left over will only be available on tour.

Also we're now going to be spending a while writing new stuff, in this period we won't be doing any new shows. Come see us before we take a bit of a break from shows.

There's also some positive plans about coming overseas in 2014, keep an eye out.
