Recording Diary

March 7th - We managed to do the drums & bass recordings in this session, which took place at Southampton Solent Uni with our friends Ben & Cameron. Recording began a little after scheduled as some traffic got in the way of Josh's travels, meaning we took a bit longer to set up. Despite this we got through each of the songs pretty quickly, a few songs took a a couple takes but on the whole it went smoothly. They sound great too. Jonny recorded the bass due to the vacancy at the time. Some of the last songs took various takes due to tired minds setting in, but apart from that the bass sound in general has really cool feel to it.

March 22nd - For the guitars we recorded at Ben's house with Cameron helping out again. The room smelt of weed which is quite ironic, I feel it added to the atmosphere of the recording. It helped our strings to really express there true feelings. Think we got everything done in like 6 / 7 hours. We used different amps for each of the guitars which  I think worked well in getting a cool mix of the higher punky sound for Jamie's guitar & slightly heavier distorted sound for Jonny's guitar. After we finished up we ordered a Chinese, it was great.

April 3rd - Vocals came out well, Ben's voice changes each record which I think is cool giving a new feel to each release. These recordings I feel are a lot more angry & harsher more punk style than previous work. We went back to Uni with the guys to do this. We got everything done within an evening which was good considering the lyric writing was split so a few of the songs Ben hadn't had time to put to the music until recording.

This is our best work yet. We'll be playing all of the 8 new songs from shows after Sheffield this coming weekend
